Peggy has an eclectic history beginning with her birth in New York, her Atlanta upbringing, owning and operating a ranch in Colorado, and currently living on St. Simons Island in Georgia.
She has a Bachelors of Art in Psychology and Criminology from Florida State University.
Her love of art started at a young age. She sold her first painting at the age of 15 of a horse named Smokey.
Peggy has studied portrait oil painting with Romans Constatine and Mark Chatov. She has also studied in New York Studio School under Graham Nickson and Joseph Santore, at the New York Art Students League under various staff, at the Denver Art Students League with Quang Ho and Kim English, and at the Florance Academy of Fine Art in Florence, Italy. She has studied with Bob Kuhn, Russell Chatham, Scott Christensen, Clyde Aspevig, and others.
Peggy's Gallery Affiliations include the Teach Plein Air Workshops and the
Artist in Resident Fork Club and Woods Lake Resort in Colorado.
Many of her paintings have raised over $100,000 for wildlife and conservation organizations. 20% of all commissions are donated to the charity of the clients choice.
Currently, Peggy is involved in equine rescue on Tidal Islands, the Human Society of the southern coastal part of Georgia, and various charities for children.
In her free time, she is passionate about riding, fly fishing, golfing, kayaking, and playing duplicate bridge.
