Billmayer lives in northern Montana with her husband and two sons. She helps raise everything from wheat and barley to cattle, horses, sheep, and border collies. Her connection with the natural world is obvious in her pastel scenes. “I work almost exclusively in pastel because the immediacy of the medium allows me to develop a painting rather rapidly while the idea and inspiration are still fresh and exciting. I feel I have only begun to unlock the possibilities of this magical medium.” Kristi has been the recipient of many juror's and people's choice awards from the many shows she has been a part of.
