Ruth received her B.A. in Art Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She paints primarily en plein air, with alterations or finishing touches sometimes being executed in her studio. Her subject matter largely consists of the environment around her and the animals that can be found in it. “Wyoming offers great opportunities to observe the natural environment. My work tries to express my love of the untamed, uncultivated world and its characters.”
