Dan Downing

The use of brilliant color and cropped composition makes one confront Downing’s wild animals and horses straight on. These playful hues are enjoyable to the eye and allow Downing’s oil painting to truly stand out. Downing’s art has been influenced by his mother who is also a fine artist.
